No refund will be given if you decide to cancel your subscription with us or stop using our products if the reason is based on the disagreement of all our usage policies. It is Appfirm's policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you on our website or indirectly through your website to provide you with analytics about your audience.
We only ask for personal information when we truly need it to provide a service to you. We collect it by fair and lawful means, with your knowledge and consent. We also let you know why we’re collecting it and how it will be used in this legal document for transparency and legal requirements.
We only retain collected information for as long as necessary to provide you with your requested service and also based on your data retention policy (for data regarding your audience).
You are free to refuse our request for your personal information, with the understanding that we may be unable to provide you with some of your desired services/features.

For every data that we store, we will ensure to protect it within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or alterations. How do we collect personal information?
When signing up for an account with us, you have provided us with some basic information such as your full name and email address. This personal information is used to create your account in our system.
From time to time, we might collect additional information related to your account. For example if you ever subscribe to any of our services with monthly or annual payments then we will require the following information such as credit card details and billing address related to your credit card account which will be used to process your payment and prevent and mitigate fraud.
Cookie Policy
In order to provide the best experience, we might place cookies on your device to remember preferences and enhance your customer experience or end-users experience on our platform, including some platform’s features that may require the use of cookies to function properly. This may include, but not limited to language settings, account settings and other settings related to your account or for tracking purposes on your website(s).
We will not collect any information that we don’t need to use or process to perform any actions or to provide services to our clients or end-users.
Sharing information with third parties and partners.
We don’t share your personal information with third parties and partners for marketing purposes nor do we sell this information to third parties or anyone else. But in some circumstances we may need to share information to our partners to provide the services that you have requested.
This is limited to only analytics and basic user information to our partners for processing requests in regards to our products.
For example, this may include the following: billing information and credit card information for processing, since we don't process payments by ourselves we have a partnership with Stripe to process payments on our behalf every billing cycle.
To provide the server infrastructure, we have partnered with AWS (Amazon Web Services) and GCP (Google Cloud Platform) to provide cloud hosting services and other related services as well.
Customer information is stored on different cloud providers' infrastructure (Google Cloud, CloudFlare and AWS) to provide redundancy and low latency.
We also use open-source software to develop and maintain our platform. Sometimes, we might send feedback to the community regarding bugs and fixes. This doesn’t include any personal data about our clients, but may include analytics data and logs.
To provide reliability and speed to everyone, we use a CDN (Content Delivery Network) powered by CloudFlare (https://www.cloudflare.com/en-ca/privacypolicy/). Most of the data transit from their servers near to you then arrive on our end for processing.
This results in offering better processing time and performance in terms of speed, reliability and safety when a server nearby to your location based on your ISP’s IP address can do the job.
Some of our infrastructure partners may log data (IP address, operating system, browser, etc) for analytics and security purposes only to enhance performance.
Data Integrity and Protection are something really important for us. When dealing with your information, our partner carefully protects the access to who can access their data center where we host data.

Processing data and information.
We process your data to ensure they are encrypted, accurate and compatible for our infrastructure to process.
We use different technologies to process your data and then encrypt it to ensure they follow our standard in terms of security. Sometimes, we may need to process your data with proprietary technology that is compatible with our infrastructure for compliance purposes.
Notice (Data Breach)
In case there's a data breach and to protect our customers, we will advise everyone who is affected after our internal investigation regarding the cause and what happened. As soon as possible, we will display a notice to the affected users or everyone (depending on the breach).
Cookies (End-User)
It is your responsibility to disclose that Appfirm (which should be presented as a third party to your visitors) may collect data and place cookies on the end-users (your website’s visitors) for tracking purposes in your Privacy Policy.
Our web analytics platform uses cookies (doesn’t include Lightweight tracking) to track customers throughout their visits on any websites where they have passed our tracking code on their site. As a platform provider (SaaS) also known as Software as a Service, we provide the necessary technology.
We provide tools to opt-out of these settings, but since we are dealing directly with the website owner (our client), it is their responsibility to offer any way with the tools we have provided to them.

We don’t store any personal information related to the end-users on our servers or infrastructure.
Appfirm also uses Cookies to store settings set and chosen by the end-user (your visitors) such as when they decide to opt-out. When the end-user decides to opt-out and to ensure that we follow their preferences for their next visits on your website, we store a cookie for this.
If the end-user uses a different browser than usual or has deleted all cookies and preferences on their web browser. Their preferences will be deleted as well.
This is part of the custom to enhance customer experience. If the end-user has disable the cookie in his web browser settings, Appfirm won’t be able to honor cookies, DNT (Do Not Track) or anything other special settings.

As a privacy-focused web analytics company, we are compliant with GDPR to ensure not only for EU based clients, but for everyone a right to privacy.
